Picture Week Part 5 - Summer's End

Summer's coming to an end soon and Mid Autumn's Festival marks the day when the climate over here starts to cool. For here, the Dumplings Festival marks the beginning of summer where temperature will start to climb until Mid Autumn Festival where the mercury falls back steadily to make way for winter.
Anyway, before it's too late, I just wanted to post a couple of photos that I took earlier during the summer season.

It's the caterpillar of a giant moth. While some may find it ugly, I thought it was rather beautiful especially how the shade of green complements the white of the strips.
As humble as that of a caterpillar, I am still in awe of God's beautiful creation.
There is beauty even in the ugliest of things. We just need to remove our blinkers in order to see it.

Anna: Yah. The giant moth is quite big itself. When fully grown is about 1/5 times the size my palm. Very beautiful despite the lack of bright colours of its butterfly cousins.

i agree with the part where we have to remove blinkers to see the beautiful side.
or rather, instead of seeing the now situation.. we should see things long term

winter: The beauty has always been in front of you. We just need to open our eyes and truly look. Only then would you be able to appreciate it, for after all we are all God's creature, great or small.

Sunflower: Yah man... like a wriggly green sausage.

actually, this reminds me of an episode of fear factor where the couple contestants are supposed to eat a "sausage" of real live bugs and critters or decomposing eeky parts..... I 'pei fu' them for being able to stomache the 'food'....

Anna: It's all about the psychology. We know for a fact that they are edible i.e. the networks won't include stuff that would endanger lives right? Ultimately, like many things in life, we are our worst enemy.
