Cakie and I were yum cha-ing when she said she was craving CharCharnTeng fare from PoLo Buns to CharnYokeGongZaiMeens.

"I want MaLing luncheon meat!" She squealed.

That at a time where we were polishing off har gao, siew mai, san zhoke ngao yoke kao, siew ngor, pei dan sao yoke zhoke, lor butt gol and char siew farn cheong on our own and she still wanna go eat CharChanTeng?


I tell you, this girl is deliriously optimistic.

Alas, by the time we actually finish every morsel of food on the table (you should see her eat the ENTIRE siew ngor on her own!), she finally admitted that we can forget about heading over the CharChanTeng.

Clever girl. I was glad she came to her senses or she would be bending over puking her guts out....

.... and I have to be there to hold her hair for her. >.<

Strangely, the words "MaLing Luncheon Meat" got stuck in my head so much so that I decided to pop into the supermarket after gym last night to grab a couple of cans for breakfast this morning.

Heh heh.....

I had them this morning.

Mmmmm..... sedap!

I was sms-ing CowBoyCaleb telling him now that Singapore has banned them, they are Singapore Chewing Gum v2.0.

Maybe 10 years from now, they will be available at your nearest dentist.

Then at the various checkpoints, especially the second link and causeway, imagine the customs officers asking if you have "Luncheon Meat". *facepalm*
